For over twenty years John has had a passion for these spectacular creations that
reconcile the depths of nature and man. As a youth in South Florida, John watched
patiently while day in and day out, month after month, his father snipped, nursed and
lovingly cared for his prized collection of these remarkable trees. 

As he watched them respond, he grew to understand that a Bonsai is more than
another plant. It is a living expression of its keeper. Just as a doting parent helps mold
and shape the character of a child, the bond formed between a Bonsai and its owner
through frequent contact shapes both the character of the tree and its owner. 

Many a high-pressured business person or a harried homemaker find that moments
spent with their Bonsai can impart a peace and tranquility not to be found in even the
world's most famous spas and retreats. 

As his collection grew, John's desire to share the beauty and benefits of the art with
others grew also. He sought out other aficionados and became acquainted with many
notable Bonsai Masters. He couldn't resist acquiring some of the more exceptional
specimens. With his own collection threatening to overtake his home, he expanded his
greenhouses. Trees selected by John's discerning eye, and tended with his
experienced hands were soon avidly sought by area Bonsai lovers. He started sharing
with those he knew felt the same passion as he did. Then along came the internet! 

John placed a few "Specimen" trees on e-bay. They were quickly snapped up by
hobbyists who couldn't help notice their superior quality. Not wanting to risk the trees
at the hands of shippers, John developed special packing techniques that, though
though labor and material intensive, have set a new standard in shipping care. This
extra effort and attention brought heartwarming response from the buyers. Even more,
it brought a higher demand. John placed more trees on e-bay. They too, quickly sold.
Many buyers became regular customers... and friends. 

Some of the buyers were newcomers. Many others were Bonsai Masters themselves. 
John started receiving requests for direct sales. He tried to keep up with these
requests and soon was spending many hours daily e-mailing photos and responding
to inquiries. Over and over newfound clients and friends would ask, 
"Do you have a web site?" 

And, that's how J.V.Bonsai came to present you with this site. We hope you find it a
pleasant place that you can visit often. We pledge to continue the personal care and
service that our clients and friends have come to rely on.
